Joined: 31/10/03 Activity:	There are new and stricter requirements for ban submission. We are initiating a harder line towards proof gathering to stand better in case a ban is protested. A Steambans Protected Server SBSRV 2.6 or newer, SBSRC 1.2 or newer To make a demo on theese servers which pass the proof requirements simply type SB_STATUS while you record the demo. Start the demo "record [DEMONAME]" Type "sb_status" Record the needed proof, then type "stop" Remember to do a NEW sb_status whenever a mapchange has occured! If there is no evidence of cheating before a mapchange, and no sb_status is made AFTER the mapchange the sub will be declined. No snapshot is needed when using sb_status. Joined: 15/12/03 Activity:	what about doing condumps once you have finished recording the demo - it dumps everything from console since you joined the map to a text file, including the results of your status command? No snapshot is needed when using sb_status.

[b]Servers that arent using SBSRV or SBHLG[/b]

[*] "record [DEMONAME]"
[*] "status" (made while console is showing)
[*] "snapshot" (immediately following the "status" so that IDs are visible)
[*] "stop" demo when there is sufficient proof.

In the same action we have decided to up the limit of the uploads to 5 megabyte to compliment the added screenshot and to meet your needs.

So:
In order to be sure that the evidence is [u]not[/u] dismissed by the senior admin please have the following in place:
[*] Evidence is not larger then 5 Megabytes (zipped)
[*] demo has a status command immediately followed by a snapshot command
[*] Both demo and snapshot/screenshot is zipped/rared and uploaded.

UNLESS your playing on a SBSRV / SBHLG server, simply typing sb_status is sufficient to meeting the requirements.

[b]Why the "snapshot" command?[/b]
We have chosen to add this to the requirements to verify the status command made in the demo. [b]We only accept BMP/TGA files[/b]. The "snapshot" command should verify the validity of the status command made during recording, which is why we want it done -immediately- after the "status" command, and it should show the accused players ID and the information of the server (top of status). However in situations where demo is recorded in a full 32 player server, its most important to make sure the accused players id is there.

If you fail to follow these points your evidence [b]will[/b] be dismissed.

On this please note that the Steambans GUI has a [url=http://www.steambans.com/resources.php?page=cmdmenu]commandmenu[/url] that easily makes you demo a correct demo and with the right requirements.
