Ban Process |
View this guide in the language:
SteamBans has setup everything on the site to reflect the quality that we seek and the ban process is not an exception.
We have decided that at least 3 admins should be a part of the discussion surrounding every single ban, and our system is setup to compliment this.
1. Whenever a ban is submitted by [you] it is automatically forwarded to the -Senior admin- list over active bans (meaning the bans that haven't reached a decision yet).

2. The individual bans are then discussed where every admin participating in the discussion gives his or hers view. When an admin has reached a decision, they can cast a ban/dont ban vote. The admin can be allowed to change his or her opinion. Admins have to reach an agreement, based on valid arguments in the discussion.

3. When a discussion has ended and 3 unanimous votes have been cast, the ban needs to be finalized. This means that a management ranking admin looks over the discussion to see if there are points to be made, he then sums up the discussion in the final comment on the ban and selects Ban/not Ban according to what the voting was.

If it was decided in the discussion to ban, the ban will be accepted and enter the ban database and this person will through the available SteamBans protection methods not be able to play on any of our protected servers.
If it was decided -not- to ban the details of this ban will be instantly deleted from the database and no further actions will be taken. |
