How to record a SRCTV demo including sb_status

To get your server ready for SteamBans SRCTV recording you need to install SBSRC 4.4.0 or later on your server and configure the plugin correctly.

Now you have two possibilities:

1) Run the SRCTV server with auto record:
This mode is recommended for a complete surveillance of the game server.

Enable it by adding tv_autorecord 1 to your server.cfg

IMPORTANT: Do not spam us with random demo files!

2) Run the SRCTV demo record manually:
This mode is recommended for recording of single events.

Start the record by issuing rcon tv_record (e.g. rcon tv_record cheater) in your client console while being connected.
Stop the record by issuing rcon tv_stoprecord in your client console while being connected.

NOTE: Don't forget to stop recording after the player has left the server.

Now comes the IMPORTANT part:

To record a demo that meets our Proof Requirements,
make sure a SRCTV demo record is running (either with autorecord or manually) and issue rcon sb_status in your client console then.

CAUTION!

# There is no automatic feature for a sb_status calls with SRCTV.
# It is your job to check your demo files for cheaters. We will only do specific investigations. Submitting numerous files with random IDs is expressively unwanted. We reserve the right to decline such demo-files without a statement or examination and to suspend the account of the submitter.
